Sunset Towers is a 20-story condominium located on Atkinson Drive which is across the street from the Ala Moana Hotel and in front of Atkinson Towers Inc. The building has two elevators to service a total of 81 units. The building was built in 1969 by Walker-Moody Construction (contractor) and was designed by Donald Haines (Architect). The building consists of Studios, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. The exact square footage break down is: ​

• Studios - 360 sq ft interior + 128 sq ft lanai 
• 1 Bed - 560 or 620 sq ft interior + 129 or 209 sq ft lanai
• 2 Bed  - 800 - 1040 sq ft interior + 137-239 sq ft lanai 
• 3 Bed - 1070 sq ft interior + 223 sq ft lanai.  

Overall, Sunset Towers' is great since it's pet friendly and the location cannot be beat. Being centrally located makes it very easy to go to practically anywhere. The only downsides are that the building's maintenance fee is on the higher side due to a special assessment to retrofit the building. This is a good thing for the long term as it essentially makes the building like a new building.

Sunset TOWERS - Neighborhood & Location

Sunset Towers is located on Atkinson Drive (419 Atkinson Drive, Honolulu, HI 96814) and is just two buildings over from the Yacht Harbor Towers and is in front of Atkinson Towers Inc. The entrance to Sunset Towers is from Atkinson Drive and the parking entrance is down a private road which is shared between Sunset Towers and Atkinson Towers Inc. The building itself is right next door to the old Central YMCA and is diagonally across from the Ala Moana Shopping Center. It's also just a short distance away to Ala Moana Beach Park, Waikiki, shops, grocery stores, and many local restaurants and eateries. 

Sunset TOWERS - Common Areas & Amenities

Sunset Towers has its main amenity deck on the ground floor of the Diamond Head/East facing side of the building (furthest away from Atkinson Drive). The amenity area requires a security fob/key so only residents can enter the area. The tower has its own swimming pool and BBQ/meeting area. From Atkinson Drive there is a dog run area that is fully fenced in where owners can enjoy with their furry companions. Lastly, on the bottom level of the parking structure is a bike storage area.
