​Ala Moana Hotel is a 36 Story high-rise condotel adjacent to the Ala Moana Shopping Center's East/Diamond Head wing. The building was built in 1970 and was operated as a hotel. The building went through a condo conversion and was sold to individuals in 2005. 

The building is comprised of 1180 units among two towers. The main tower is 36 stories (Waikiki Tower) and the low rise portion is 13 stories (Kona Tower). The building's unit break down is:
  • Studios: 246 - 297 sq ft (Lanais range from 48-56 sq ft)
  • 1 Bedrooms: 503 - 581 sq ft (Lanais range from 56-96 sq ft)
  • 2 Bedrooms: 1900+ sq ft (the building has a few two bedrooms on the upper floor of the building)

Overall, the Ala Moana Hotel is located in a very convenient area and has a bridge connecting it to the mall. It is just a short commute to Waikiki or the beach and allows owners to put their unit in the hotel rental pool to rent it on a nightly basis.

Ala Moana Hotel is Located 410 Atkinson Drive and is located next to the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The area is conveniently positioned so that you can take the sky bridge to Ala Moana Shopping Center or take a short commute to Waikiki, Ala Moana Beach Park/Magic Island, Don Quixote, 24 Hour Fitness, and the Convention Center. The area to towards the Kapiolani Blvd and Atkinson Drive intersection has been demolished and will soon be home to the first Mandarin Oriental in Hawaii which will be a 5-star hotel featuring 99 ultra-luxury units and introduce new ground floor retail. 

Ala Moana Hotel - Amenities

Located on the 3rd Floor of the Ala Moana Hotel is where you will find the swimming pool and fitness center. The pool does not have a lifeguard on duty and lounge chairs and tables are on a first-come-first-serve basis. The fitness center requires visitors to have their door card and inside you will find the Steam Room and Sauna along with a restroom.
